On behalf of the Booster Club Board, I am pleased to welcome you to a new school year! Booster Club is another way parents, alumni, and high school sports fans can help enhance the experience of our children and build community at Interlake. I want to challenge all of you to take three steps to being a Saints Superfan:

One, JOIN US. If you haven’t already, please join the Booster club. If you’ve been a member in the past, now is the time to renew that annual membership. The Booster Club funds about half the cost of athletics at Interlake, and our continued support is crucial. Over a third of our students participate in athletics, but Booster Club membership falls well short of that. Your membership dues are used in their entirety to support our Interlake student athletes in various ways, including providing need based scholarships that help put kids in camps or on the field with their teammates when their families may not be able to afford the cost of participation. Look for Booster Club membership forms in the Counseling Center at school or download a membership form from here. Drop your completed form in the mail to us, or turn it in at the Counseling Center today!

Two, ATTEND. Let’s get fans in the stands! We’d love to hear your voice and have you come along side us in supporting Interlake sports in a positive way. Be informed about how our sports teams are doing and when and where you can see them in action. We really have a terrific core group of fans here who care deeply about our Interlake community, and we can always use more help cheering our teams on. Please also feel free to attend Booster Club meetings on the 3^rd Monday of every month during the school year at 7:00pm in the Horticultural Center.

Three, CONTRIBUTE. There is a long list of people who continue to give freely of their time, talent, and/or treasure generously. Let’s add you to that list. We have a tremendous amount of volunteer opportunities we can connect you with if you are so inclined, both at team and organizational levels. We are still looking for a special someone to serve on the Booster Board as our VP of Communications. If you like to throw a good party, help us with planning and organizing the annual fundraising auction. For those of you who like to be at a good party, save Saturday, March 10, 2012 on your calendars and plan to joins us – with your checkbooks - for what is sure to be a good time celebrating IHS.

Booster Club is that unique place where being on the sidelines is actually a good thing. I hope to see you there. Go Saints!
