2009 - 2010 Wrestling Results

The Interlake Boys Wrestlers participated in the Olympic League Tournament on Sat, Feb 6^th at Sequim High School. The following wrestlers placed:

103lb: Marcus Kopp, 3^rd

119lb: Daniel Montoya, 6^th

125lb: Ryuji Kawashima, 3^rd and Josh Okrent, 5^th

135lb: Feynman Liang, Champion and Jake Wilson, 2^nd

140lb: Rigel Kuhn, 6^th

145lb: Christian Schultz, 2^nd

152lb: Jacob Marks, 2^nd and Jordan Todd, 3^rd

160lb: Bobby Mueller, 3^rd and Alex Giseburt, 5^th

171lb: Sam Chapman, 4^th

189lb: Andy Agus, 3^rd and Chad Peterson, 5^th

215lb: Michael Henderson, 6^th

Wrestlers placing in the top 5 will continue onto Regionals at Washington High School on Sat, Feb 13^th.

The Interlake Girls Wrestlers all qualified for Regionals at the Girls League Tournament at Juanita High School on Friday, Feb 5^th. Brandae Grein was the champion at 152lbs. Summer Hanson placed 2^nd and Sydney Moore placed 3^rd in their weight classes. Regionals will be at Sedro Wolley High School on Sat, Feb 13^th.

On January 27 Interlake wrestling defeated 4A Skyline 45 to 25

On January 28 Interlake wrestling came close to defeating top ranked Bellevue, losing by 4, 35 to 39. Interlake went on to defeat 4A Newport 51 to 21

Interlake wrestlers defeated Sammamish on January 14th, 66 to 6

Interlake wrestlers also defeated Redmond on January 21st, 41 to 33

Interlake placed third out of 12 schools at the Renton Invitational on Sat January 23^rd. The following wrestlers placed:

Interlake Varsity Wrestling defeated Mt. Si, 39 to 31 on Thursday, Dec 10th. This is the first time in many years that Interlake has beaten 3A Mt. Si

Interlake wrestlers participated in the Liberty Tournament on Sat, Jan 9th. The following wrestlers placed:

Also on Jan 9th, Sydney Moore and Brandae Grein participated in the 2nd annual Sedro Wooley Girls Tournament. Brandae Grein placed 1st.

On Monday, Jan 11th, Interlake wrestlers defeated rivals Issaquah 41 to 33 and Eastlake 49 to 20. Way to go Saints!
